I have the need to write about the tragedy at the Sandy Hook elementary school in Connecticut. I lost a 2 yr old niece and a 3 yr old nephew, as well as their father (my brother) in a triple death due to a plane crash. The shock and unbelief is part of what got me through the grief. I reached to places deep within me, with the support of friends and community. A cousin called and explained to me that they were unconscious before the plane exploded. Due to the information, I was relieved to know they did not suffer.
My personal experience was being able to feel their presence and have my brother communicate with me the first 3 days after their passing. Many wonderful messages were given to me which was a great comfort. On the 3rd day I knew it was important for me to completely let them go emotionally. It was the hardest thing I had ever done. Yet, I knew it was important for their journey.
During the first year after their passing, my family and I had many paranormal experiences in our home, which I wrote about in a story in my book which will soon be published. My youngest daughter saw an angel floating above the dining room table. I believe she came to comfort her loss in a way that made sense to her. This tremendous loss sent me on a spiritual quest that has helped me to grow in ways that I could have never imagined.
