HORSES AND LAST WISHES COME TRUE

I love how the events and circumstances in our lives are divinely orchestrated.  On the checkerboard of life, and unbeknownst to us, people and circumstances that are meant to cross our paths do just that.  Eventfully, successfully, and with every intent to bring us to the fulfillment of our dreams.
My love of horses was unquenchable while growing up.  I was fortunate for a time to have riding lessons and spent almost every weekend riding with friends.  I was raised in a family that mom was a housewife and dad a teacher.  In other words no money in the budget to own a horse.  I must have passed on my obsession with horses to my first born.  Because at the age of 9, you guessed it, she did own her own horse, Little Bit of Love.  When Christy was 18 and about to graduate from high school, the love of her life died from colic.  She didn't leave the house all summer.  I offered to buy her another horse, but she said NO!
I know in my heart, that sweet horse knew, it was time to leave the planet.  My daughter would not have moved forward with all of the things she needed to accomplish, otherwise.  She went to college and received a degree in Equine Science.  The list goes on and on.  I am so proud of her strength and achievements.
Fast forward a few years.  The love of horses never left.  We ran into into an old friend in a restaurant bathroom, who suggested Christy go and visit a horse, whose owner had passed.  Kim was 17 when she died of cancer.  Her last wish, was granted by a well known foundation, for a beautiful Tennessee Walking horse.  Which was exactly the breed of horse my daughter was interested in.
Kim's mother was interested in having someone take over the care of this horse.  However, everyone she interviewed fell short of her acceptance.
So, here I am driving along with my daughter.  She said,"mom, what do you pick up about this girl, Kim?'  She appeared in my mind with blond streaks in her hair.  Kim was pleased with the idea of Christy having the care of her sweet horse.  There was some personal information for Kim's mother, who was mourning the loss of her daughter for over a year.  It was comforting and loving that only a mother could understand.  This mutual friend was told what transpired and passed on the experience to Kim's mother.  This was all done without our knowing.
Yes, my friends, the best was yet to come.  Smokey and my daughter have spent years together with Kim's approval!
